Sharon King-Hanley - Assistant Principal

Sharon King-Hanley was born in Abbeville, SC, and graduated in 1986 from Dixie High School.  Her post-high school education spans thirty years and includes Bachelor's degrees in English and History (1990) and Secondary English certification (1993) from Clemson University, a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in brain-based teaching and learning (2009) from Nova Southeastern University, and a Master's degree in Administration & Supervision (2014) from Anderson University.  
 
Mrs. King-Hanley believes in lifelong learning for herself and all her students.  She has spent her entire educational career at Westside High School, and after thirty years, she is still happy to say: "Westside is the best side!"  She taught English for eighteen years and served as English department chair prior to becoming Academic Coach in 2012, a position which became Administrative Assistant in 2015.  In 2019, Mrs. King-Hanley was named Director of 9th Grade Academy. She is currently the Assistant Principal of Westside High School.
